About Mrs. Taylor

GREETINGS,

I was born in Greensboro, NC and raised in the small town of Yanceyville, NC. Being raised in this area provided me with many experiences and opportunities that stirred me towards finding a career in agriculture and environmental sciences. Growing up on our small farm was quite interesting since we provided mainly for family and local friends. Crops grown were corn, legumes, aspargus, greens and a variety of fruits. From my younger days to now, I still enjoy being outside and enjoying nature.

Sports have always been a part of my life in some way. From grade school to college I participated in school and competitive cheerleading. I have always been a fan of football and basketball and I truely believe if girls were allowed to play football I would have! (Not saying I would have been good) Once I graduated from high school I attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and joined the School of Agriculture and Environmental Science majoring in Laboratory Animal Science. Laboratory Animal science was a bit different than Animal science because it focused on research animals and how to utilize and care for them humainely. I as I got settled in my major I joined many clubs including the collegiate FFA chapter and Minorities in Agriculture.

NC A&T is also where I met my husband which at the time was and still is my best friend. We spend a lot of time living each day to the fullest. We enjoy being outdoors, working in our garden, camping, traveling, and exploring different cultural foods.
